Amarna: A Guide to the Ancient City of Akhetaten is a fully illustrated guidebook for Amarna, available for purchase internationally in English or Arabic. Written by members of the Amarna Project, and with contributions from local heritage managers and community members, the guidebook is designed to let the visitor experience Amarna with an ‘archaeologist’s eye’.

All author royalties from sales of the book are donated to the Amarna Trust to support public engagement programmes at Amarna. Free copies of the Arabic guidebook are also being given to schools and cultural institutions in Middle Egypt.
